Alexander Ludwig has received his orders.

The ”Hunger Games” star will soon be behind enemy lines as he signs on for the true-life military thriller, “Lone Survivor,” according to Deadline.

“Lone Survivor” is based on Marcus Luttrell’s memoir that details how he and his Navy SEAL team members were ambushed in Afghanistan by Taliban forces during a 2005 covert mission to kill a terrorist leader in the Hindu Kush mountain region.

Mark Wahlberg will be playing Luttrell, with Ludwig set to play fellow Navy SEAL Shane Patton. Other team members include Taylor Kitsch, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch and Eric Bana, with “Battleship” director Peter Berg calling the shots.

Cato’s fate is keeping him from appearing in any of the “Hunger Games” sequels, but Alexander Ludwigseems to be forming a decent career beyond the boundaries of Panem. He recently wrapped his role as the son of David Spade’s character in ”Grown Ups 2,” which will hit theaters on July 12, 2013.

Production on “Lone Survivor” will commence on Sept. 25 in New Mexico with a look toward a Fall 2013 release date.

Although the next ”Hunger Games” movie doesn’t start shooting until later in 2012, stars of the hit franchise movie will be at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego to promote the film. Sadly, it won’t be any of the trinity – Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson or Liam Hemsworth. The good news — some of your favorite (but deceased) tributes will be there.

Lionsgate has lined up Alexander Ludwig (Cato), Amandla Stenberg (Rue), Dayo Okeniyi(Thresh), Isabelle Fuhrman (Clove), Jack Quaid (Marvel) and Willow Shields (Prim) for an autograph signing at its booth. If you stop by #4035 on Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., you could get the signatures of some of the stars in honor of “The Hunger Games” release on DVD and Blu-ray August 18.

If that’s not enough “THG” action for you, MTV has pinpointed a few panels that could get you excited for “Catching Fire.” Some of YA’s hottest authors will talk about dystopian literature on Thursday, July 12, at 3 p.m. in Room 25ABC, while “THG” costume illustrator Christian Cordella will discuss bringing Suzanne Collins’ vision to life in the “From Concept to Reality” panel on Saturday, July 14 at 5 p.m. in Room 24ABC.
